Georgia Graduating Classes by Jeannette Holland Austin

Georgians were well-educated persons, beginning with the farm school all the way to the Medical College of Georgia or University of Georgia. In fact, many students were sent to northern colleges. One source for finding out where your relatives attended school is in some of the sketches in Memoirs of Georgia published in 1895 and other biographicals. Other than that, the newspapers published the graduating classes, moreso after 1870 than any other time. Included are names of those who received honorary degrees, members of fraternities and many photographs. Georgia Pioneers has an alphabetical listing of graduates beginning 1818 to about 1900, as well as photographs and names of graduating classes. GA Graduates 1818 to 1925
