www.genealogy-books.com - A New Face for the Website !

Genealogy Books was established in 1996 (www.genealogy-books.com.) Originally, the purpose was to offer Georgia books for sale, mostly those authored by myself. Thus far, about 60 books of family genealogies, bible records, civil war, probate records, etc. have been published. In the works is a 6-volume set of books on Georgia genealogies, which will probably be available about a year down the road.

Currently, I am striving to collect as many books on family histories as possible and offer them for sale on the site. I know that this is a big problem for researchers, especially since many genealogies go "out of print" as soon as the stock is sold off. This leaves a few commercial houses to publish certain genealogies, according to their ability to sell them. Here are two websites which offer some used family histories - www.abebooks.com and www.bibliofind.com.

Genealogy Books now offers a collection in all 52 States, including foreign countries. Because I am a professional genealogist, I steer the collection towards books which best help the genealogist, such as wills, deeds and marriages. Also included are Collectibles which feature such items as year books, church books, and some rare editions, as well as miscellaneous items.

Brand new to the site is a Shopping Cart which accepts Visa/Mastercard and PayPal. For optimal security, many people are preferring an internet gateway, such as Paypal, which is also widely used by ebay.

Another new feature is the ability to sign into a Guestbook, and offer comments, or suggestions.
