This newsletter appeals to a growing List of Georgia researchers. The List is opt-in and rarely has an unsubscriber. That's how popular it is.
If you have a genealogy site, you KNOW how difficult it is to advertise. The rootsweb lists forbid advertising and if you make an announcement
(which is permitted), your
name is "slandered" all over the internet. Take my word for that - all of the rootsweb lists are owned by Ancestry.com. They also own USGenWeb.
Now, does that help to
explain what that website's name is plastered all over the internet?
There is another way. I have it. My newsletter currently has over 800 online subscribers and over 250 US mail recepients. What keeps this audience coming back to my website and
reading the newsletter? If you read the content, you will understand why it is so popular. I provide family information and tips that they cannot find
elsewhere. So far, I have declined probable advertisers. That is because I was so busy developing a dependency to my own site.
However, I think that the subscribers would now benefit from genealogy advertisers. How else would they know about your site?
New Additions - is a very special Mailing List. It's primary function is to provide subscribers with information as to new additions on my website. This email is sent from 2-6 times per month. They read it because this is where I not only tell them of the new additions to the site but of my own personal free help to them. Because of the unique relationship with I have with subscribers, they remain subscribed. This is an excellent place to advertise !
