Georgia Birth Records

The State of Georgia did not begin keeping birth and death records until 1919. This makes it a chore to find ancestors. Certain newspapers occasionally listed some births, or made vague references thereto. See newspapers below

Georgia Pioneers was developed by Jeannette Holland Austin to share information preserved over a 40-year period. It contains traced genealogies, probate records, confederate deaths, revolutionary war pensions, cemeteries, obituaries, marriages, census, cherokees, births, school graduates, etc.
